Reds loan out Pacheco as Doni leaves

Liverpool forward Daniel Pacheco has joined Spanish second division side SD Huesca on loan for the rest of the season.

Dani Pacheco has had the 'hot prospect' tag for some time but must now prove he can step up
Pacheco made his most recent appearance for Liverpool in the Europa League in November

Pacheco, 22, who has not featured in a Premier League game for Liverpool since August 2010, has been restricted to three cup appearances since manager Brendan Rodgers took charge last summer.

The Spaniard, who moved to Anfield from Barcelona’s youth set-up in 2007, spent the end of the 2010-11 season on loan at Norwich, helping the Canaries gain promotion to the top flight.

He spent last season on loan at Rayo Vallecano before returning to Anfield, making his most recent Liverpool appearance in the 1-0 Europa League Group A defeat away to Anzhi Makhachkala on November 8.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Alexander Doni has left Anfield to join Botafogo in his native Brazil.

Doni, 33, has been back in South America on extended leave for personal reasons since last summer.

His Liverpool contract was due to expire at the end of this season, and has been cancelled by mutual consent.

He joined Liverpool from Roma in July 2011, and played four times for the club, making his debut in a 1-1 Premier League draw against Aston Villa in April 2012.

Doni has won 10 caps for Brazil and was in their squad for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, but did not play.
