Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele hints at early recovery after surgery

Ousmane Dembele has indicated that he could return to action in two months following a successful operation on his ruptured tendon.

Dembele, Barca's club-record signing, is back in Barcelona after surgery was carried out in Finland.

The 20-year-old suffered the injury at Getafe last weekend while making his third appearance for Barca since his summer move from Borussia Dortmund.

And although Barca have said the France international will be out for three-and-a-half months, he posted an upbeat message on Instagam in which he said he would return in "two months."

However, Dembele may be referring to the time when he will be able to resume training rather than a first-team return.

Diario Sport reported that Dembele will be immobilised for the next three weeks at least.

Barca's players wore T-shirts carrying the message "Courage, Ousmane" ahead of their win against Eibar on Tuesday.
