Barcelona hero Sergi Roberto: Still not sure if winning goal was dream

Sergi Roberto has said he felt his last-ditch winner for Barcelona in their extraordinary Champions League comeback against Paris Saint-Germain was payback for a decade of hard work at the club.

Roberto struck with seconds of stoppage time left as Barca overturned their 4-0 first leg deficit in a 6-1 win at the Camp Nou on Wednesday.

They became the first side in Champions League history to overturn a four-goal deficit from the first leg.

Roberto, who came through the ranks at Barcelona but had at times appeared set to leave, told Barca TV: "Sometimes there's justice.

"I've dreamed of a moment like that, and being a lad from La Masia made it all the more special.

"For a long time I've been working hard to achieve something great with the club of my life, where I have been for 10 years.

"It all happened so quickly and I didn't see a thing until the ball went in. Neymar was about to cross, but he feigned, then Pique was about to get a touch but I just went at it with everything.

"I didn't know if it was going to go in, but then we went crazy. I didn't know if it was a dream."

It was Roberto's first goal of the season -- "I was saving it," he said -- and has been ranked alongside some of the club's greatest-ever moments.

And the midfielder, converted to a right-back by coach Luis Enrique, said: "I was awake until 5.30 in the morning because I couldn't sleep and I was replying to the hundreds of messages I had received.

"When I woke up I still didn't know if it was a dream or reality. I simply have no words to explain how it felt.

"It was a magic night, one of those nights when it's especially beautiful to be a footballer. I will never tire of remembering it."
