Neymar revels in 'best' Barcelona season, but 'sad' at Luis Enrique exit

Neymar has said he is having his best season yet Barcelona and claimed the La Liga leaders are just beginning to find their best form.

Barcelona are competing for silverware on three fronts -- the Liga title, Champions League and Copa del Rey -- and with 12 goals and 16 assists in all competitions Neymar has played a key role.

"I think it's my best season at Barca," he told the club's official website. "Both myself and the team are getting better and that is important."

Following Wednesday's 6-1 La Liga victory against Sporting Gijon, manager Luis Enrique announced he will step down at the end of the season.

Neymar, who has won six major honours under him, including a Champions League and two La Liga titles, said Luis Enrique remains someone the Barcelona squad has a lot of faith in.

"It's sad because he is someone we have a lot of affection for," Neymar added. "We have been with him for three seasons and we have a lot of faith in him. We wish him the best in life.

"He knows what is best for him and we are just happy with how he has helped us in the last few years in which we have won so many trophies."
