Luis Enrique: Barcelona are able to cover Sergio Busquets, Andres Iniesta

Barcelona coach Luis Enrique wants to focus on the players he has available to replace injured duo Sergio Busquets and Andres Iniesta against Real Sociedad on Thursday rather than lament the absences of the two midfielders.

Barca have not confirmed how long either player will be sidelined for, but both are expected to miss the Copa del Rey quarterfinal second leg at the Camp Nou.

Busquets sprained his ankle ligaments in the game against Eibar on Sunday and local reports claim he will be out for two weeks, while Iniesta could return from a calf problem against Real Betis this weekend.

"To be honest, no, there's no-one [like Busquets]," Luis Enrique told a news conference. "Iniesta and him are the best in each of their positions, but I have alternatives. Missing players is part of football. I have really good options, so more than lamenting the absence of injured players, I'm focusing on the alternatives I have."

Ivan Rakitic, Andre Gomes, Javier Mascherano and Sergi Roberto were put forward as the candidates to step in for Busquets by Luis Enrique at the weekend.

However, he did not want to reveal who would drop into the deeper midfield role at his news conference on Wednesday for fear of giving too much away to Sociedad.

"I'd be delighted to tell you [who will replace Busquets] but I know that [Sociedad coach] Eusebio is watching this news conference," he said. "I have four options, you'll see tomorrow. In fact, I don't just have four [options], there's also Denis Suarez. I have six options, but I don't want to give any clues [about who will play]."

Barca go into the second leg with a 1-0 lead, having finally ended their 10-year wait for a win at Anoeta last week.

That game was dominated by refereeing decisions, though, with Sociedad's Asier Illarramendi critical of the officials after the match.

"I think the [level of refereeing] is adequate, but they need help," Luis Enrique said when asked if too many mistakes were being committed by referees in Spain. "We all see everything in our team's favour but never the decisions which go against us, so it's a difficult job that's always been judged. What they need is help, not criticism."

The Barca boss also said it would be "a mistake" to think that the hard work has already been done in the first leg and warned his side against resting on their laurels in their bid to win the Copa del Rey for a third consecutive season.

"I expect the same approach from La Real [as in the first leg] at the beginning of the game because they need to turn the tie around," he said. "It's going to be difficult, we're aware of that. La Real's pressing, without doubt, will be one of the most important aspects of the game. When they don't have the ball is when they're most on top of us. They base their play on high pressure both at home and away."
