Lionel Messi and Gerard Pique will be ready against Celtic - Luis Enrique

GLASGOW -- Luis Enrique says Gerard Pique and Lionel Messi will both be ready for Barcelona's Champions League game against Celtic on Wednesday.

The Barca boss knocked back a question about Messi's future following reports linking him with both Manchester City and Manchester United in the week, though, saying he had no idea about any of the speculation.

Messi missed his side's goalless draw against Malaga at the weekend with a bug but trained with his teammates at Celtic Park on Tuesday.

Pique was also present in the training session, despite taking a knock to his ankle in his first game back after a three-week absence on Saturday.

"Messi is fine, he's OK," Luis Enrique confirmed in his pregame news conference. "He trained perfectly and I'm sure he will be at 100 percent and ready to give his best version.

"In principle, Pique is fine, too. He didn't train on Monday because he received a blow against Malaga, but he will be available for the game."

Following a report in Marca last week, there has been a spate of rumours surrounding Messi's future at Camp Nou.

His contract expires in 2018 and he's yet to sign an extension, but despite the stories which surfaced a Barcelona source told ESPN FC the club are confident the Argentine international will extend his deal.

Asked about the supposed interest from City and United, Luis Enrique responded: "No idea, I don't know."

Messi, as well as Luis Suarez, who missed the Malaga game due to suspension, will both return to the side in Glasgow against a Celtic side they both scored against in a 7-0 win in September.

Luis Enrique expects a completely different game to that one, though, as Barca go in search of the win which would confirm their place in the knockout rounds of the Champions League for the 13th consecutive season.

"The first game has nothing to do with this one because Celtic have changed system," he said. "It will be another story, completely different.

"It will be more like the games they played here. For example the one against City [3-3], as they're a team who play like us.

"[Celtic Park] is one of the best venues in Europe, not only because of the history of the club but because of the magnificent fans and the atmosphere they create.

"I will ask my players to go out and enjoy it as we have the chance to qualify for the next round."
