Barcelona's Neymar confirms talks held with Paris Saint-Germain

Neymar has confirmed he held talks with Paris Saint-Germain in the summer before eventually agreeing to a new five-year deal with Barcelona.

Agent Wagner Ribeiro revealed earlier this week that Neymar had two meetings with the French champions -- one in Ibiza and one in Sao Paulo -- and the Brazilian forward didn't deny the validity of the claims.

In fact, the 24-year-old said that he'd held discussions with several different clubs, but added that his desire was always to remain with Barca.

"Yes, we had discussions with many people, not just one [with PSG]," he said at a news conference on Thursday.

"But I decided to stay at Barca because I feel at home here. I'm happy with my teammates and I'm Barca man."

Ribeiro had said that Neymar would have earned €40 million a year in Paris after tax, with a private jet laid on for Brazil games and a stake in a chain of hotels carrying his name also part of the offer.

However, despite confirming the talks, Neymar was not willing to go into details on what was on the table if he opted to lose Barca.

"I can't confirm the numbers given by Wagner Ribeiro because I don't like talking about figures," he said.

"Like I've said I was in talks with many teams, [PSG] wasn't the only one. But I decided to stay here; I'm happy here."

Neymar's new Barca deal ties him to the Catalan club until 2021 and he doesn't think he wil leave Camp Nou anytime soon, despite the constant speculation surrounding his future.

"I don't see myself away from Barcelona," he added. "It's something I can't imagine because I feel at home. I'm really happy here.

"I feel important, like everyone in the team, and I hope that I can keep helping the team. I think it's going to be a great season for me and the team."

As well as PSG, both Manchester United and Real Madrid were credited with an internest in Neymar before he penned his new terms with Barca.
