Luis Enrique: Barcelona are well-suited for atmosphere at Atletico Madrid

Barcelona are prepared for the atmosphere that awaits them at Atletico Madrid's Vicente Calderon on Wednesday, Luis Enrique says.

Atletico will be looking to overturn Barcelona's 2-1 advantage from the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal, but the Blaugrana manager said his side were "made for matches like this."

Speaking at his prematch news conference on Tuesday, Luis Enrique said: "We have a small advantage, but the tie remains open.

"We compete for perfection and the team is prepared for the atmosphere that awaits us. If there is a team capable of coping with the Vicente Calderon atmosphere, it is Barca.

"We know that we must play a good game in order to qualify."

Barcelona enter the game amid a three-match winless streak in La Liga -- an eternity for last season's Treble winners -- and Luis Enrique said he's hoping for a better response against Atletico.

"There is always room for improvement," he said. "It's not fair to think that victories or defeats are because of two or three players. I'm just as guilty for any defeats because I am the coach."

Defender Javier Mascherano said the slim lead from their home leg should give Barcelona a boost away from the Camp Nou.

"We enter the game with confidence due to the advantage from the first leg," he said. "Each game has to be taken separately and we do not have to look back -- everything depends on us.

"Tomorrow is the first of all the finals which remain between now and the end of the season. We are eagerly anticipating the match."

Meanwhile, Lionel Messi said in a Facebook post that Barcelona will not let a little slump affect the team.

"Our mentality is still the same," Messi wrote, according to Marca. "We work all season to give ourselves the best chance of reaching the final and winning trophies. We continue to believe in ourselves."
