Barcelona coach Luis Enrique said he was happy to see his team keep improving after Sunday evening's 4-0 La Liga win at Eibar, and believes his side are right where they want to be heading into the business end of the season.

Barcelona's unbeaten run in all competitions clocked up to 36 matches, with Lionel Messi scoring twice in the blaugrana side's 11th straight La Liga win, which means they will finish the weekend at least eight points clear atop the table.

Youngster Munir El-Haddadi put Barca ahead early, but a hard-running Eibar side came close to equalising, before Messi's solo goal just before half-time realistically ended the contest.

The Argentine then did not look to be worrying too much about his team's recent penalty woes when he calmly chipped home from the spot to make it 3-0, with Luis Suarez adding the final goal late on.

The Barca coach told his postgame news conference that his team were now "where we want to be" but would keep looking to evolve and improve.

"Without doubt, we are where we want to be," Luis Enrique said. "Thanks to our own work, nobody gifted us anything, we are close to the stage of [the] season where three trophies up for grabs. We have good position, but have games to play, against direct rivals. But I am very happy, I see the team evolve, improve, keep their ambition, and play very well."

Just as after Thursday's 5-1 La Liga win at Rayo Vallecano, Luis Enrique praised the attitude of his players who were focused on the job they had to do right from the start.

"The other day seemed a spectacular game, and it was, and today we were even better," Luis Enrique said. "We were very solid, against a difficult team. We knew how to get past their pressure, with our good positioning and passing. It was a very complete game.

"It could have been different, but the players were aware of how difficult it could be. We managed to keep a team like Eibar without many chances to score."

Luis Enrique said neither he nor his players were getting carried away with their position in the table and thinking the title was already retained.

"In football you never know what will happen, if you will be at the same level," he said. "There are 30 points still to play for. The team knows that.

"Their attitude in every game shows that. We will not get carried away thinking we are already champions. Until it is mathematically impossible for teams behind to catch us."

Barca's front three of Suarez [42], Messi [35] and Neymar [23] have already scored 100 goals between them this season, and Luis Enrique praised the ambition of his top players to keep reaching for more.

"These players are so good, and when they are in this form, it is very difficult to stop them," he said. "The same as I said in Vallecas. These players do what they like to do -- which is to compete and to win. That is the characteristic which defines these players, and this team in these last years."

Munir, 20, playing on the left wing in place of the suspended Neymar, took his chance very well, Luis Enrique said.

"Munir did very well," he said. "It can be difficult for young a player who does not have many chances to play. He did what we asked of him, and scored a goal. He has a lot of potential, we are very happy with him."
