Barcelona star Neymar unlikely to go to Real Madrid - Ronaldinho

Neymar is playing for the best club in the world with the best players in the world, so it is not likely that he would go to Real Madrid, said Barcelona and Brazil legend Ronaldinho.

The former Barcelona forward said he sees Barcelona as too strong of a club for Neymar to consider leaving and pointed to Argentine striker Lionel Messi as the key to that success.

"Neymar is in the best team in the world, playing with the best players in the world. I don't think he'll go to Madrid," Ronaldinho told Mundo Deportivo. "Neymar is a phenomenon. Messi is the best player of this era -- just as Pele, Maradona or Ronaldo were in their day. Leo has made history and Neymar is on his way to doing that too. I hope he someday becomes the best. I think he will."

Nor did Ronaldinho, who played for Barcelona from 2003-2008, feel that Neymar's current tax woes would affect the Catalan club.

The Brazil captain and his father were due to appear before a judge in Madrid to testify in a case regarding the payment of his transfer from Santos to Barcelona in 2013.

"I hope Neymar can keep his mind on football only and this subject is solved by other people," Ronaldinho said. "I am happy that another player from Brazil is enjoying playing for Barca as I did. That is why I hope that he stays there for many years, where he will grow a lot as a player."

"I am happy to have played for Barca. We made history."
