Barcelona coach Luis Enrique wary of 'potential UCL winners' PSG

Barcelona coach Luis Enrique says his side must be wary of Paris Saint Germain's strengths on the break if they are to emerge victorious from Wednesday's Champions League Group A decider at the Camp Nou.

Both clubs have already booked their place in the last-16 of the competition, but PSG's 3-2 win in the clubs' first meeting in September means that a draw for Laurent Blanc's side will ensure them of top spot and a seeding for the next round. This is particularly important as both sides will want to avoid a potential meeting with giants such as Chelsea, Bayern Munich and [for PSG only] Real Madrid in the next round.

The Blaugrana coach told his pre-match news conference that he always sent his side out to attack and win each game, however unlike in most games at the Camp Nou the opponents on Wednesday would also having winning on their mind.

"The idea is to go out and win every game," Luis Enrique said. "The plan does not change. What is true is that the opponent has the same aspirations as we do. They will test us in every area -- in attack and defence. We want to avoid their counter-attacks and for that we must be balanced. Theory is one thing, and practice another. There are attacks you can make which are more controlled. We must be vigilant and improve."

Blanc's side achieved that win in Paris in September without talismanic forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Luis Enrique said the return of the ex-Barcelona player to fitness made his current team even stronger.

"They beat us without Ibra," he said. "The PSG squad is strong enough to think it is above any one player. But now with Ibrahimovic they are even stronger. They are in the list of potential Champions League winners, among the biggest favourites."

Barca were also without Luis Suarez for the first meeting, as the 80 million euro summer signing from Liverpool was still banned for his World Cup bite at that point.

Luis Enrique played down concerns over Suarez's meagre one goal in eight Barca games to date, while saying that he had other options who could start up front if needed.

"[Suarez] did not play the first game due to suspension, and he is now giving us what we want from him," he said. "He arrives in the box, he gives assists and he takes part in collective play. It is about correcting what is not working for him. The more possibilities we have in attack the better. The forwards must work so that their numbers are the best."

With Dani Alves suspended for this game -- due to picking up a second yellow card last time out at APOEL -- Luis Enrique suggested that one of Adriano or Marc Bartra would fill in at right-back.

"We have options, but Bartra and Adriano are different types of players," he said. "Adriano is more defensive [than Alves] and Bartra is a centre-half who can play there. We will keep quiet so that we can surprise Laurent Blanc."

The Asturian coach also played down any issue over Lionel Messi's drug test on Monday, when the Argentine had to give both blood and urine samples, and appeared to then complain via social media about being regularly singled out.

"The double test is one of the possibilities," Luis Enrique said. "It can seem strange to anyone. Although now it is within what can happen normally. We are against doping and it all seems good to us. It is about seeing that we are following the laws."
