Borussia Dortmund agree deal to sign midfielder Kevin Kampl from Salzburg

Player banned for 70 games for referee head-butt

An amateur player in Austria has been hit with a 70-match ban after allegedly head-butting a referee, Austrian media reports.

With his side down 3-2 against SPG Innsbruck West after 86 minutes last Saturday, Ismail Gunduz of amateur side SK Rum was reportedly infuriated after being shown a second yellow card.

According to a report in local paper Tiroler Tageszeitung, the 26-year-old Gunduz then stormed towards the official and head-butted him. The game was abandoned as a consequence.

GRAZ, Austria -- Three ex-players in Austria formed a criminal organisation during their careers and attempted to manipulate 18 national league games from 2004 to 2013, state prosecutors said on Friday.

Sanel Kuljic, Dominique Taboga and Johannes Lamprecht are alleged to have fixed matches in the country's first and second divisions, offering other players 7,000 to 40,000 euros to help decide the results of matches, on which bets of up to 300,000 euros ($415,000) would be placed.
