Do you remember when the W-League kicked off in November? It seems so long ago now that it almost seems hypothetical. What did we care about then? The delayed release of the season schedule? The late player signings? Was it the invisible marketing campaign? The sporadic stadiums and the bizarre kickoff times? Maybe it was all of them...

Veronica Latsko, Teresa Polias 8/10 as Sydney FC edged out by Melbourne City

Melbourne City claim a record-setting fourth W-League championship with a 1-0 vs. Sydney FC.

Melbourne City secured the W-League Championship with a 1-0 win over Sydney FC. City captain Steph Catley scored the only goal in the 15th minute, although Sydney more than held their own against the premiers.

Positives

Sydney's high press in the opening 20 minutes was some of the most impressive in the league so far, forcing City to recycle the ball repeatedly in an attempt to find openings further upfield. The Sky Blues also created some positive chances on goal through their two most dangerous...
