A-League fans to return to the stands after ban process agreement with FFA

Fan supporter groups of A-League teams confirmed on Thursday that they will temporarily stop their match boycotts after Football Federation Australia met their demands at a meeting on Wednesday.

Western Sydney's Red and Black Bloc, Melbourne Victory's North Terrace and Sydney FC's The Cove said in statements that they were satisfied with changes to the stadium ban appeals process.

Instead of a "ban" notice, fans will be issued with an "intention to ban" notice and will be allowed to see the evidence against them. That was a major issue which saw the spectator groups refuse to attend matches.

The new process includes 198 people already banned, and whose names were published in a newspaper article two weeks ago and which initiated the fan boycotts.
