Former Man Utd star Mark Bosnich pleads guilty to reckless driving charge

Former Australia international and Manchester United goalkeeper Mark Bosnich has pleaded guilty in a Sydney court to a charge of reckless driving relating to an incident last year in which a cyclist was injured.

Bosnich faced charges in the Downing Centre Local Court on Tuesday that the vehicle he was driving struck the cyclist in downtown Sydney on May 21. The cyclist was treated in a hospital for minor rib and arm injuries.

The 43-year-old will be sentenced on June 9.

The court heard Bosnich and the 38-year-old cyclist had a verbal dispute over lane positioning before the cyclist threw an item that struck Bosnich's vehicle. Bosnich turned the vehicle towards the cyclist, striking his rear wheel and causing him to fall.
