Atletico Madrid centre-back Miranda has said he is "happy" and "proud" to be linked with a move to either Manchester City or Manchester United -- but plans to stay with Atletico.
Miranda produced a succession of fine performances as his club won La Liga and reached the Champions League final last season, sparking interest from some of Europe's biggest clubs.
The 30-year-old was linked with a £30 million move to Old Trafford in the summer, and talk of a move has surfaced again because of the fine form of 20-year-old defender Jose Maria Gimenez.
Asked about reported interest in him from both Manchester clubs by Brazilian website Estadao, the Brazil international said: "Of course this news reaches me, and it makes me happy. It shows I am doing well.
"It makes me proud, but my intention is to stay at Atletico because I still have a year and a half on my contract."
Miranda's future may also be linked to that of Toby Alderweireld, who has impressed during a season-long loan from Atletico to Southampton.
Recently, Atletico sporting director Jose Luis Caminero said Belgium international Alderweireld, 26, was expected to be return to Diego Simeone's side for the 2015-16 season.
