Atletico Madrid midfielder Mario Suarez was taken to hospital after suffering a head injury during his side's victory over Wolfsburg in Germany.
After sustaining the injury 22 minutes into the match, he received swift treatment and regained consciousness, the club announced.

He underwent a CT scan and was due to remain in hospital overnight ahead of further tests on Monday.

Atletico won the match 5-1, with Raul Garcia scoring a brace while Mario Mandzukic, Koke and Hector Hernandez all added their names to the scoresheet.
Suarez later reported via the club's official Twitter account that he was feeling "much better."
