Holman set for Aston Villa exit

Aston Villa forward Brett Holman is set to join Dubai club Al Nasr, according to board member Fahad Hadi.

Brett Holman has fallen down the pecking order at Aston Villa

Holman struggled for game time at Villa Park last season, but has been linked with numerous clubs in recent weeks after impressive performances for Australia in World Cup qualifiers.

It is reported in The National newspaper that the United Arab Emirates team have offered Holman a two-year deal, and Hadi insists the deal is complete.

"Brett represents a strong signing for us as he's an international player who has played in England, one of the top leagues in Europe," Hadi is quoted as saying  in The National.

"He has the qualities that we needed at Al Nasr and, most importantly, he has a lot of experience.

"It's good to have someone with that knowledge in our squad, and he will only improve the team."
