Ranieri to leave post as Roma manager at end of season
Claudio Ranieri has said he will leave Roma when his contract runs out of the end of the season.
"My job ends with the last three games," he said at a news conference ahead of Sunday's clash with Juventus. "I always knew that would be the case.
"I chose to come here for this season finale because I'm a Roma fan and I wanted to put my enthusiasm at the service of the team."
The objective in Ranieri's second stint with his hometown club is to secure Champions League football -- a job which was made more difficult after conceding a late equaliser in Sunday's 1-1 draw with Genoa.
Roma are in sixth place, level with Gattuso's Milan on 59 points -- three behind fourth-place Atalanta.
Maurizio Sarri is one of the frontrunners for the Roma job should he leave Chelsea, but Antonio Conte has ruled himself out.
