Roma buy remaining shares of Belgian midfielder Radja Nainggolan

Radja Nainggolan is now 100 percent Roma.

The Roman club, who had previously split ownership of the Belgian midfielder's contract with Cagliari, bought out the remaining 50 percent, the club announced in a statement on Wednesday.

Nainggolan had been linked with Real Madrid, Manchester United and Liverpool through recent months, but Roma coach Rudi Garcia said last week that he expected the deal to be done with Cagliari, who owned part of his sporting rights.

The 27-year-old's agent, Ludovico Spinosi, told IlSussidiario.net, in quotes reported by AS, that remaining at Roma was the most likely thing to happen, despite a reported late charge from Real.

After the announcement, Nainggolan expressed his delight with the deal via Twitter.

"This is a fantastic day, finally I am 100 per cent Giallorosso. It's what I and the club always wanted! I thank the club and Pallotta for their efforts.

"I will repay them on the field as I have done so far and even more! Forza Roma! Now our minds focus on to the next season!"
