French champions Monaco have announced sporting director Antonio Cordon is to leave the club after just a year in the job.
Cordon, who previously worked at Villarreal, signed a three-year contract when he moved into the role at the Principality outfit in July 2016, and has already been involved in bringing Youri Tielemans, Terence Kongolo, Diego Benaglio and Soualiho Meite to the Stade Louis II this summer.
However, he is now set to leave the club "in the coming months" after opting to take on a new role elsewhere.
"In the spirit of sporting stability, Antonio Cordon will continue his collaboration with the club at least until the end of the summer transfer window with the professionalism that characterises him," a Monaco statement read.
"Before taking on this new personal challenge, Vadim Vasilyev and Antonio Cordon will be able to continue the work of building the team in order to meet AS Monaco's sporting ambitions."
Cristiano Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes, has been tasked with finding Cordon's successor, RMC has reported.
