Monaco's Kylian Mbappe will join Real Madrid, Barcelona eventually - Fabinho

Kylian Mbappe will move to a club like Real Madrid or Barcelona at some point in his career, according to his Monaco teammate Fabinho.

Mbappe, 18, has caught the eye this season after scoring 19 goals for Monaco, with a host of Europe's top sides reportedly interested in signing him this summer.

Fabinho accepts that the teenager will eventually depart Monaco for a top club, but is hoping that it will not happen until further down the line.

"We know that sooner or later he'll go to a club like Real Madrid, Barcelona, or another club of that calibre," Fabinho told Chuteira F.C. "But until then we're going to enjoy him at Monaco.

"Mbappe's tremendous. For an 18-year-old, he has such maturity both on and off the pitch. He's playing a decisive role and scoring lots of goals.

"For someone his age playing in the level of competitions that we're playing in, that's not easy. And I haven't even mentioned how quick he is..."

Mbappe's rise this season led to him making his France debut during the 3-1 victory over Luxembourg on Saturday.

France next take on Spain in a friendly on Tuesday and La Roja striker Diego Costa is well aware of Mbappe's abilities.

"If he continues to progress at this rate, he'll be a phenomenon," Costa told Telefoot. "He's a 'killer' in front of goal and a very good dribbler. I hope he continues down this road."
