Jeremy Toulalan among Monaco players to prolong deals

Jeremy Toulalan is among four players to have signed a contract extension with Ligue 1 side Monaco on Thursday.

The 31-year-old, who joined from Malaga two years ago, has committed his future to the club until the summer of 2017 having helped lead a charge into the last eight of the Champions League.

Also re-signing at the Stade Louis II a week before the first leg of a quarterfinal against Juventus are goalkeeper Danijel Subasic, winger Nabil Dirar and right-back Andrea Raggi.

The Croatian keeper, 30, has extended his stay until 2019 while the new deals handed to Dirar and Raggi expire in 2018.

Toulalan, who has 36 France caps, told the club's official website: "I came here to reach the highest level possible.

"In my first year we qualified for the Champions League and this season we've played even better and got into the quarterfinals of that competition.

"It's been a great adventure and it has to continue. I want to help the younger players in my position and to be as effective as possible."

Subasic arrived from Hadjuk Split in 2012 and has made over 120 appearances for the principality club.

"I am proud," he said. "I was at Monaco when this project started and the club has progressed a lot. I've grown a lot as a player and I want to grow even more."

Dirar, 29, recovered from cruciate ligament damage to become a near ever-present this season while former Bologna defender Raggi has made 29 appearances for Monaco in the 2014-15 campaign.

The principality club are currently fourth in the Ligue 1 table and could go up to third with victory at Caen on Friday night.
