Monaco sign Monachello

Monaco have signed striker Gaetano Monachello from Olympiakos Nicosia as the Ligue 1 side continue their summer spending spree.

Monachello, 19, is the third striker signed by the Ligue 2 champions this summer, joining former Lyon forward Anthony Martial and Colombia international Radamel Falcao at the club.

The Inter Milan youth product joined his team-mates in Italy for the first day of pre-season training on Monday as he looks to stabilise his career after playing for four clubs over the last two years.

Inter loaned Monachello out to Parma in 2012, before he joined Metalurh Donetsk at the start of last season and finished the campaign with Olympiakos.

The Italian showed his potential last season, scoring seven goals in 13 appearances as the Greek side were relegated to the second division.
