Contract talks with Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil are on hold - Arsene Wenger

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has told beIN SPORTS that contract talks with Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil are on hold until the summer.

Star duo Sanchez and Ozil have so far refused to sign long-term contract extensions, with their current deals expiring after next season.

Wenger said no further talks would take place before the end of the season, adding: "At the moment we have not got an agreement.

"We have decided to focus on the end of the season and talk about it during in the summer.

"Once you don't get an agreement and that lasts it's not good, so it's better you sit down during the summer."

Wenger's own future is also uncertain as his contract expires after the current campaign, but the Frenchman said he had "no news" about his plans.

Speaking after Saturday's defeat at West Bromwich Albion he said he knew what he would do in future and would announce that "very soon."

But he added that he was concentrating on turning the team's poor form around after four losses in their last five Premier League matches.

"No matter how long I stay I will be committed and completely focused. How long I stay doesn't really matter because as long as I'm there I'm completely focused on achieving the best with the club," he said.

"At the moment we are going through a difficult period on the results, so I think it's much more important to focus on getting it right again."
