Arsenal 'cracked' in Bayern Munich thrashing - Laurent Koscielny

Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny said his side had "cracked" as they slumped to a devastating 5-1 Champions League defeat at Bayern Munich.

The Gunners are set to bow out in the round of 16 for the seventh successive season after conceding three goals in 10 second-half minutes as the Bundesliga champions took a stranglehold on the tie.

Arsene Wenger's men had appeared set for much better when Alexis Sanchez followed up his own penalty to cancel out Arjen Robben's 11th-minute opener before half-time.

But Koscielny -- replaced by Gabriel after being injured early in the second half with the score at 1-1 -- told beIN SPORTS that Arsenal had fallen apart once Robert Lewandowski put Bayern back in front after the break.

"In the first half, we were good. The second was completely different. We cracked immediately," he said.

"I think we wanted to equalise, even though if we lost 2-1 here we would have had a strong hand to qualify in the return leg at home.

"We lost our unity a little bit. As soon as you give this team a bit of space, they're capable of making the difference."
