Arsenal youngster Ben Sheaf pens new contract extension

Arsenal youngster Ben Sheaf has signed a new contract with the club, the Gunners have announced.

Sheaf, 18, has yet to make an appearance for Arsenal's first team but has been on the bench for three EFL Cup games and is viewed as a promising talent who can play in both midfield and defence.

The Gunners announced his contract extension on their website on Wednesday but did not disclose details of the deal.

Sheaf joined Arsenal from West Ham's academy in 2014, and has been a regular for the club's youth sides over the last three seasons.

He was named player of the tournament after helping Arsenal win the Durban Under-19 International in 2015, and has represented England at youth levels.
