Arsenal's Petr Cech: Car crash after Liverpool loss 'one of those days'

Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech has shrugged off his car crash after Sunday's 4-3 home defeat to Liverpool as "just one of those days" and confirmed no one was hurt in the incident following the Gunners' Premier League opener.

Cech smashed up his Audi when he ran into one of the concrete pillars in the Emirates car park after conceding four goals in the Gunners' disappointing start to the season. He was pictured talking to stadium staff after the incident, with the front left bumper of the car smashed.

"What happened is that I hit a pillar, that's the reality," Cech told Arsenal Player. "How it happened is hard to say but you know it's one of those days where just nothing is really happening.

"We were just getting out of the car park and talking about the game and suddenly I just heard 'careful!' And that was it."

It was a bad day all around for Arsenal as they lost having at one point been 4-1 down at home and saw Aaron Ramsey and Alex Iwobi limp off with muscle injuries. But aside from his car, Cech's accident didn't lead to any more damage.

"Nothing happened to anyone, just the car is not happy, probably, with me. But everybody else was fine," Cech said. "We were going very slowly. Obviously in the car park you cannot go any faster than a few miles an hour. So that was the lucky part of it."
