Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny are in the centre of defence, with Gabriel ruled out, and Alexis Sanchez starts against his old side with right-back Hector Bellerin.
Up front, the Gunners opted for Olivier Giroud with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on the right.

Barcelona have also named a strong side, with only Claudio Bravio dropping out for regular cup goalkeeper Marc Andre ter Stegen.

Barcelona also have a strong bench with Bravo, Munir, Sergi Roberto, Adriano, Aleix Vidal, Jeremy Mathieu and former Gunners defender Thomas Vermaelen.
