Arsenal's Francis Coquelin may return vs. Olympiakos but Arteta, Flamini out

Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini have both been ruled out of Arsenal's Champions League clash against Olympiakos, but Francis Coquelin is in contention to return from injury.

The Gunners go into Tuesday's group-stage game at the Emirates Stadium in need of a result after losing their opener 2-1 at Dinamo Zagreb.

Flamini was forced off with a hamstring problem during the 5-2 victory over Leicester on Saturday and the Arsenal boss has revealed that Arteta -- the Frenchman's replacement that day -- has also been added to the club's injury list, having suffered a dead leg.

"Both have slight muscular problems, but I think Flamini has a scan today and Arteta certainly as well," Wenger told a news conference. "They are not big injuries. It is a question of days."

But Coquelin, who sustained a knee injury in the 2-0 loss to Chelsea earlier this month, is back in training and Wenger has suggested that he could return against Olympiakos.

"He has been back since yesterday and I will have to see how he responds to two days of training, but he looks alright," he said.

Elsewhere, Olivier Giroud must serve a one-match ban after his red card against Zagreb.

Gabriel is available again following a domestic suspension, but Jack Wilshere, Danny Welbeck and Tomas Rosicky all still remained sidelined.
