Theo Walcott, Santi Cazorla predict Arsenal will build on FA Cup successes

Theo Walcott believes Arsenal are ready to win trophies consistently once again after their back-to-back FA Cup triumphs over the last two seasons.

Walcott, 26, committed his future to Arsenal by signing a new contract last week. The winger, who has been deployed as a striker by boss Arsene Wenger in recent months, is convinced the good times will continue to roll at the club in the coming years.

"Solidarity is the sign of a successful team. When players stay and stick together you see the success come out," Walcott said. "You look at the old Manchester United and Arsenal sides and they were teams who stayed together. They just built on success after every year.

"That's what I want to be part of and that's what I think I can be part of because this club deserves to be there. It's a massive club and we should be winning things every year. I believe that we will. That's the sense in the dressing room and everyone is completely ready, confident and ready for the season."

Walcott also revealed his reasons for signing a new deal with the Gunners, as he suggested he feels at home in the red shirt a decade after he arrived from Southampton.

"I've always enjoyed playing for this club, I love this club. I've been here nearly 10 years now and it's my second home," Walcott added.

"The manager has been fantastic to me. The players, the coaching staff, everyone at the club itself, the people that you don't see on the inside and, most importantly, the fans have all been amazing.

"The Emirates is a great stadium to play your football in and this team is very special. I think we can go places this year and move on from the success of the FA Cup. I want to be a part of that."

Santi Cazorla joined Walcott in signing a new Arsenal contract last week and the Spaniard is equally upbeat ahead of the Gunners' first Premier League game of the season against West Ham on Sunday.

"I'm very happy to sign a new contract with the club," Cazorla said. "I think this is the best moment in my career and the best club for me, and for the future. I'm very happy and I want to try to help the team get more trophies.

"Here I have everything. I have confidence, I have a good team full of good players and I think this is the best option for me. It's an easy decision to continue to play for Arsenal.

"Every year we have a better team and we sign some good players every summer, like Mesut (Ozil), like Alexis [Sanchez], like Petr Cech now, and this is important for me and the club. Of course we want to improve every year."
