Wilshere: Abusive fans targeted my kids

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere claims that his gesture towards Manchester City fans, which earned him a two-game ban, was because they were targeting his children.

Wilshere, 21, missed Monday's 0-0 draw against Chelsea and will also sit out the Boxing Day clash at West Ham after the FA slapped him with a ban following Arsenal's 6-3 defeat at the Etihad Stadium.

The England international admitted he was wrong to be riled up by the fans’ abuse, but revealed that he was angry over his two kids being targeted.
