Carlos Tevez accepts he will not be a starter at Boca Juniors

Boca Juniors' Carlos Tevez
Carlos Tevez rejoined Boca Juniors in January after leaving Shanghai Shenhua.

Carlos Tevez said he accepts that he will not be a regular starter at Boca Juniors this season.

Tevez, who entered as a substitute in the 71st minute of Boca's 6-0 triumph over Alvarado in the Copa Argentina round of 64 on Wednesday, scored the last goal from the penalty spot.

"I'm not the first option for the coach," the former Manchester United and Manchester City striker told TyC Sports after the game.

"I have to give my contribution in the role that I find myself in and I accept it because this...

Juventus' Gianluigi Buffon will be Boca Juniors target this summer - coach

Boca Juniors coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto has confirmed his club have a desire to sign Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon.

Buffon, who is out of contract this summer, has been linked to a move to the Argentine club, but his longtime agent, Silvano Martina, said earlier this month that he was not aware of any interest from Boca in his client.

"[Boca president Daniel] Angelici told me that he had called [Buffon] to ask him," Schelotto told Radio Continental. "But I told him that we would talk...

Man City cleared by CAS over signing of Benjamin Garre

ESPN's Mark Ogden and Jonathan Smith discuss whether Pep Guardiola can break even more league records after Manchester City won the Premier League.

Manchester City have been cleared of breaching rules over the signing of Argentine teenager Benjamin Garre by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

The Premier League champions faced a potential transfer ban if CAS found them guilty of flouting transfer rules over the signing of Garre from Velez Sarsfield in 2016.

City signed Garre at the age of 16 but Velez claimed the move breached FIFA's rules over the signing of minors from outside the European Union.

However, a statement issued by CAS on...

Juventus' Gianluigi Buffon unaware of Boca Juniors interest - agent

Gianluigi Buffon is not aware of any interest that Boca Juniors have in signing him, according to his longtime agent, Silvano Martina told Clarin.

Ole reported on Sunday that Boca want to sign Buffon this summer, when the 40-year-old goalkeeper becomes a free agent.

Clarin also reported Boca's interest, claiming that Boca president Daniel Angelici once met Buffon when fellow Argentine and Boca star Carlos Tevez played for Juventus.

"I've read in Italy that in Argentina, they are talking about this...

Inter Milan's offer more convincing than Dortmund's - Racing's Lautaro Martinez

Racing Club's Lautaro Martinez will move to Inter Milan this summer.

Lautaro Martinez has confirmed he will be moving to Inter Milan in the summer with Borussia Dortmund missing out after a late offer.

The Racing Club forward has scored has 13 goals in 15 games this season and he could make his Argentina debut against Italy on Friday.

Both Inter and Dortmund spotted the 20-year-old's talent relatively early, but Martinez said the Nerazzurri are more appealing and that he now expects to be playing in Serie A next season.

"It's all sorted with the Nerazzurri," he told...
