Albania's Gianni De Biasi: 'Impossible things in football can happen'

Albania coach Gianni De Biasi believes his side can achieve the "impossible" when they kick off their Euro 2016 campaign against Switzerland on Saturday.

Albania are competing in their first major tournament over the coming weeks and have been pitted in a tricky group featuring France, Switzerland and Romania.

While De Biasi accepts his side will be underdogs during their time in France, he believes they still have the ability to achieve something special, starting against Switzerland on Saturday.

"Impossible things in football can happen," De Biasi told a news conference.

"We have to remain concentrated and play the football we know best defensively and offensively."

Albania have drawn and beaten France over the last year, and captain Lorik Cana says they will be giving their all again to try and secure similar results at Euro 2016.

"If I said we weren't going to win the championship then the coach would give me daggers but clearly we don't start as favourites," he said.

"We're going to try and play the best with our hearts and with organisation."
