Eriksen drops transfer hint

Fresh speculation about the future of Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen has begun following his admission that his transfer fee is not a matter for him to decide.

Christian Eriksen intends to keep his focus on Ajax at least until the summer
Christian Eriksen's future is the subject of fresh speculation

Danish international Eriksen, 21, has one year remaining on his contract with the Eredivisie leaders and has been a long-term target for a number of top European sides including Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal who Ajax technical director Marc Overmars confirmed had been scouting the player regularly.

Eriksen has always played down a move but despite being offered a new deal in Amsterdam he is leaving any option to extend his current deal until the summer and he has dropped a hint that he may be considering a move.

"I read that my asking price was €20m," Eriksen told Het Parool. "That is a lot, yes, but I will leave that for the clubs [to decide]."
