Adisak Kraisorn: I want to score against Malaysia again

Thailand's Adisak Kraisorn has vowed to bring "happiness to the Thai fans" in the first leg of the 2014 AFF Suzuki Cup final against Malaysia at the Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok on Wednesday night.

The striker netted a brace against the same opposition in their Group B game. But he had to watch from the sidelines after serving a one-match suspension for his red card in the semifinal first leg against the Philippines.

With first-choice forward Kirati Keawsombut out with an injury, Kiatisuk Senamuang will turn to the returning Adisak and hope that he learns from his brash mistake in the semis.

In quotes from the Bangkok Post, Kiatusuk said: "We wanted to give Adisak a chance to play in the final.

"Now he understands that he made a mistake. He wants to come back and play and show the fans what he can do. He has confidence and is looking forward to the finals."

Adisak himself is grateful that his teammates managed to secure a 3-0 second leg win against the Azkals and is now ready to do his part and bring a fourth ASEAN title to the Kingdom.

"I scored against Malaysia in the group stage and want to do it again to return happiness to the Thai fans," said the BEC Tero Sasana striker. "I am glad that my teammates did very well to send our team to the final. Malaysia are one of the strongest teams in ASEAN and I will try to score against them to help our team win the title."

Thailand go into the final with a five-game unbeaten streak in the tournament. They will deploy Adisak as the lone striker, with Chanathip Songkrasin returning to a midfield role alongside Charyl Chappuis, Mongkol Tossakrai and Sarach Yooyen.

The first leg is on Wednesday before the two teams head to the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday to determine which nation has the bragging rights as kings of Southeast Asia for the next two years.
