Bournemouth fined by FA over anti-doping rules

Bournemouth have been fined £35,000 after admitting a breach of the Football Association's anti-doping rules, the governing body has announced.

The Premier League side were charged last month for a breach of anti-doping regulations and accused of not keeping the governing body informed on the location of their players in order to facilitate drug-testing.

In a statement on their official website, the FA said: "Following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing, AFC Bournemouth have been fined £35,000 and warned as to their future conduct after admitting a breach of The FA's Rules on Anti-Doping."

Manchester City were charged with a similar offence in January and handed an identical fine in February having not contested the claim.
