Bournemouth have injury concerns after international break - Eddie Howe

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe said some of his players had returned from international duty with injuries.

Howe said he had been working with "13 to 14" players in training during the international break.

Members of Howe's squad including Brad Smith, Joshua King, Max Gradel, Lewis Cook and Nathan Ake, linked up with their countries for the international fixtures.

And speaking at a news conference ahead of Bournemouth's home game against Hull, he said: "It's been a difficult few weeks. We have a few people [who have] returned from international duty with injuries which is disappointing, but I am not going to name names.

"It is one of the perils of when your players go away. They come back and you are not in control of how they return.

"We are worried about one being more long-term, but the others shouldn't be too long."

Hull, who will be under the full-time management of Mike Phelan for the first time, have not won in the Premier League since August.

Howe said: "We know they are going to pose a threat, but as always we need to focus on our own preparation in the build up to the game.

"Mike has done a great job. The most impressive thing he has done is change the way they play -- they are a very attractive team to watch.

"We know the importance of this game -- every point you gain in the Premier League is huge. We feel the pressure in every match to perform and pick up points."
