Eddie Howe has revealed the difficulty Bournemouth experienced in re-watching their 5-1 Premier League defeat by Manchester City.
Last weekend's loss, inspired by Raheem Sterling's hat trick, was their biggest so far in what has been a difficult start to the season.
The manager believes that going over their disappointing performance has helped them to get it out of their system, but explained that doing so was far from an easy process.
"We've regrouped, we've evaluated and we've reflected," Howe said. "I think we've constructively gone through the game. It was a difficult one to watch back for ourselves, for everybody, because we didn't feel we did ourselves justice, especially with the goals we conceded.
"But I think it's a healthy situation, to review, and make sure you come out with positive outcomes from those reviews and move forward very quickly. We can focus on the next challenge ahead.
"Certainly it's not a time for us to dwell on any negatives or get too downbeat. It was always going to be a tough assignment for us. I think the big thing coming out for us was to make sure we tighten up, the goals we conceded were disappointing."
An anterior cruciate ligaments injury to Callum Wilson appears to have ended the striker's season.
Former Bolton and West Ham forward Ricardo Vaz Te, who has trained with Bournemouth over the past week, may be given the chance to replace him, but Howe says he has yet to take a decision on the Portuguese's future.
"Ricardo has come in and we've been really pleased with him, he's looked good and bright and he's certainly showed a really good attitude to his work," Howe said.
"He's someone that we will continue to monitor and make a decision on in due course. He's certainly, in terms of attitude and mentality, fitted well into the group."
