No Troyes return for Adama Niane despite apology

Adama Niane has not been recalled by Troyes for Saturday's showdown with Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1 despite apologising for an altercation with his coach Jean-Louis Garcia.

The Malian attacker was made to serve an internal suspension and excluded from training following an altercation with his Garcia in February.

Niane was accused of "inappropriate and unacceptable behaviour towards the group and the technical team," and was suspended indefinitely.

The 24-year-old was excluded from Troyes' last match - a 2-0 defeat by Stade Rennais on Saturday - but was expected to be be welcomed back to the starting XI as the Aube-based club look to upset Unai Emery's league leaders this weekend.

However, despite apologising for his actions and insisting that he'd be reading to face PSG [as per L'Equipe], Troyes have opted not to recall the controversial forward to their matchday squad.

Niane has endured a mixed campaign, having netted six goals in 23 outings so far this term.

Having made his Mali debut in June, he's struggled to match the heights he achieved last season, when he scored 23 goals to fire Troyes out of Ligue 2.

He's been one of Troyes' biggest disappointments during their mixed campaign, although they currently sit in the relegation play-off spot, and a win this weekend - albeit unlikely - could move them as high as 14th.

Outsiders against PSG, Garcia will surely be hoping that the capital club's upcoming Champions League showdown with Real Madrid may distract the Parisiens from the task in hand.

While Niane will sit this one out, expect Gabon's Johann Obiang to step in at left-back in place of suspended Charles Traore, while 18-year-old Bryan Mbeumo could be in line to make his first start for Troyes.

The Franco-Congolese starlet was a lively presence after coming off the bench against Rennes at the weekend, and it will be intriguing to see how he fares against PSG's full-backs.
