AC Milan have announced that defender Luca Antonelli sustained a muscle injury in training on Wednesday. Antonelli, 29, is now likely to miss the home game against Sampdoria and the trips to Bologna and Lazio as Milan try to make up ground in the race for European football. A statement on the club's website read: "AC Milan announces that in yesterday's training Luca Antonelli suffered a soleus muscle injury in left leg. "The player will be re-examined in two weeks." Antonelli has made five Serie A appearances for Milan this season.
