Mario Balotelli must convince AC Milan to offer him new deal - Galliani

AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has warned Mario Balotelli that he needs to prove his worth if he wants a permanent deal at the club.

The Italy international striker is on a one-year loan deal from Premier League side Liverpool, but has failed to make an impact in the Serie A.

He has only scored once in 15 league appearances and has seen limited playing time due to injury.

"Mario is fine now," Galliani told reporters in Milan.

"He has a crazy desire to stay at Milan, and I hope he proves it on the pitch. Mario wants to stay here, but I've told him that based on what he's done so far, he doesn't deserve to stay here.

"I told him to convince us to keep him here, because we love him. He promised that he'll do that, and I hope he does."

Balotelli's next chance to convince the club that he is worth his weight is the big clash on Sunday against league leaders Juventus at the San Siro.
