And Cazorla's low free-kick 13 minutes later settled the score on an impressive day for the Gunners. Chelsea recovered from their surprise defeat to the New York Red Bulls to claim their first victory of their preseason U.S. tour with a penalty triumph over Paris Saint-Germain in Charlotte. Jose Mourinho's men, who were beaten 4-2 by the Red Bulls on Thursday, rode their luck to hold PSG to a 1-1 draw during regulation time before defeating the French champions 6-5 on penalties with goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois the Blues' hero. He saved from Jean-Christophe Bahebeck immediately after Juan Cuadrado had missed for Chelsea and then, after the shootout had gone to sudden death, Courtois parried Thiago Silva's spot-kick before the Belgium international stepped up to smash home the next penalty himself and seal victory. Borussia Dortmund scored a small amount of revenge on Juventus with a 2-0 victory over the Champions League runners-up. Dortmund were dumped out of Europe's top competition by the Old Lady in the round of 16 last season but used goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Marco Reus to walk away with decisive win in St. Gallens on Saturday. Juventus featured seven starters from their Champions League final defeat to Barcelona. However it was the Germans who took control from the opening whistle and took advantage of a below-par Bianconeri side. AC Milan won a friendly against city rivals Inter Milan with a wonderful acrobatic volley from Philippe Mexes in Shenzhen, China. The game saw both teams struggle on a tricky pitch and neither scored before the break as they went into half-time at 0-0. However, Giacomo Bonaventura's corner was smashed into the Inter net past goalkeeper Juan Pablo Carrizo by Mexes to break the deadlock. Milan, who gave debuts to new signings Luiz Adriano and Carlos Bacca, had Antonio Nocerino sent off late in the game for a foul on Geoffrey Kondogbia. Yevhen Konoplyanka made his Sevilla debut in the back-to-back Europa League champs' 3-1 loss to Werder Bremen at the Weserstadion. The Ukraine international came on halfway through the second stanza, but couldn't change the result. Felix Kroos converted a penalty in the 25th minute. James Morrison bagged a brace as West Brom sank Swindon Town 4-1. Morrison score nine minutes in with a low drive from the edge of the penalty box. Victor Anichebe doubled the advantage in the 23rd with help from a poor back-pass from Yaser Kasim. Kasim earned a modicum of redemption nine minutes later, pulling back a goal for Swindon with a well-placed curled strike. But second-half tallies from Morrison and Stephane Sessegnon completed a comfortable win for the Premier League side. West Ham came back from their narrow Europa League victory midweek with a lifeless 0-0 draw at Charlton Athletic. Regan Charles-Cook came closest to scoring, missing on a lobbed effort after the hour, but chances were hard to come by for both teams before the final whistle brought a merciful end to the proceedings. With striker Bafetimbi Gomis held out, new signing Andre Ayew opened his Swansea account and helped his new team to a 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest. Cristobal Jorquera's 64th minute goal looked to have won it for Ertugrul Saglam's team, but Ritter's goal ensured that the spoils were shared. At the Stade de la Beaujoire, Premier League new-boys Bournemouth drew 0-0 with Nantes. The Cherries were awarded an 87th minute penalty, but Matt Ritchie to lost his footing while taking the spot-kick and sent his strike over the crossbar.
