Sinisa Mihajlovic: I will be AC Milan's new coach within 15 days

Sinisa Mihajlovic has confirmed that he will be announced as AC Milan's new coach within the next two weeks.

Mihajlovic has reportedly agreed a two-year deal worth €2.5 million per season to become Filippo Inzaghi's successor, but has had to wait until Inzaghi's future is sorted out.

Inzaghi's contract with the club currently runs until June 2016 and, although reports suggested he had been sacked last week, there has still not been any official confirmation.

Mihajlovic is closing in on a new role though as the former Sampdoria coach revealed to an Italian journalist at Le Mans' 24-hour race.

"Don't worry, within the next 15 days I will be Milan's new coach," he said in quotes reported on L'Equipe.

Milan will not compete in Europe next season after finishing 10th in the Serie A table.

Silvio Berlusconi, the president of the seven-time European champions, is currently involved in negotiations with Thai businessman Bee Taechaubol on a deal what would see him take a 48 percent stake in the club.

However, a number of Italian media outlets reported that Taechaubol vetoed Mihajlovic as the club's next coach -- reports which he denied.
