Bee Taechaubol denies vetoing Sinisa Mihajlovic as new AC Milan coach

AC Milan stakeholder Bee Taechaubol has released a statement to deny reports that he is interfering with sporting decisions at the Serie A club.

Taechaubol is set to become the owner of a 48 percent stake in Milan over the next eight weeks, while a number of Italian media outlets have reported that the Thai businessman vetoed Sinisa Mihajlovic as the club's next coach.

In a press release sent from Bangkok and made public last night, Taechaubol said: "I'm still reading in certain Italian media journalistic fabrications and suppositions that do not correspond to reality.

"Some of these are arbitrarily attributing to me intentions that are contrary to my real objectives. I deny giving my opinion on questions concerning the transfer market, and on sporting and technical issues, all of which are in the hands of president [Silvio] Berlusconi and his staff.

"I would also like to stress that, as already said in the joint statement with Fininvest, Milan remains under the control of president Berlusconi, who is leading not only Milan but myself too.

"The operation is a success for the president and for Milan, whose brand, thanks to my entering the club, will be able to impose itself on the Asian market.

"In these next eight weeks of exclusive collaboration I will not give any interviews, as this is a time for work and not for words."

Former Sampdoria coach Mihajlovic said last week he feels ready to manage a big club amid reports he was due to succeed Filippo Inzaghi as Rossoneri coach following the former Milan striker's reported dismissal on Thursday.

The Serbian spent the evening with Berlusconi and general manager Adriano Galliani last Wednesday.
