AC Milan set for 'great transfer window' - Adriano Galliani

AC Milan will have a "great transfer window" in a bid to return to the top, according to their general manager Adriano Galliani.

The Rossoneri have endured one of their worst seasons in the past three decades, but Galliani says that will change next season with club president Silvio Berlusconi ready to invest in strengthening the club again.

"The president's very enthusiastic and we've got good intentions for the coming transfer window because, after suffering so much, we want to return to our levels," Galliani told reporters at an exhibition in Milan.

"It's going to be a great transfer window. The president is going to build a Milan side with more Italian players."

The first of those could be Andrea Bertolacci with La Gazzetta dello Sport reporting on Wednesday that the Rossoneri have already struck an agreement with Genoa for their 50 percent share in the midfielder, who has scored six goals in 32 Serie A games this season.

Roma hold the other half of Bertolacci's registration, although the 24-year-old has already made it clear he has no intention of returning to the capital.

"I left Roma because I wanted to grow and it's a decision I would make again," he told La Gazzetta. "Leaving has allowed me to play with continuity."
